Five for Friday- a very Batty week!

Friday again already?!?!  Woh!  Linking up with Doodle Bugs Teaching to share my week!

 We talked about bats this week and did a fun schema chart:

Surprisingly, none of the kids talked about vampires!! So I put that idea out there as my schema so we would have some misconceptions :-)

 We made some silly bats using a batty craftivity from A Cupcake for Teacher- you can check it out here!  Most of them did an amazing job of cutting!  But a few of them had trouble with the small pieces.

I used the bats to do a little decorating for Halloween!

 We got to wear costumes at school this year, which is a BIG deal for us!!!  Had a ton of fun!! We even did a kindergarten parade at the end of the day so all the big kids could see. 

I had to get a picture of just my tights so you could see!!  Incredibly uncomfortable but awesome!

Fall is in full effect here in DC!!!  I LOOOOOOVE fall leaves!  I was wondering why I didn't remember seeing colors last year, and then it hit me- right when the leaves started to change Hurricane Sandy blew through and down came ALL the leaves.  Well, they look great this year and I am enjoying it!
