Peek at my Week- Take 2?

Happy Monday friends!  So, there is a reason I didn't post my plans yesterday BUT first, I'm linking up with Deedee from Mrs. Will's Kindergarten for a Peek at my Week!

So this happened on Saturday night right before we had people over:
I had just turned the faucet on full blast and the knob broke!  But the problem was that is was still stuck on!!  I had never experienced this before and I didn't know how to take it off.  I was so sure that we would be taking buckets of water to dump into the sink when our friends got there.  So I totally busted the handle off and pulled out the pliers and Tim Taylored the thing!! (Home Improvement anyone??)  The problem now is that we can't find the right size handle to work... Bought 3 yesterday and nothing worked.  I got another one after work today and I THINK it will work *Fingers Crossed*

In other news, last week was just one of those weeks I could not get myself in order!  I never printed some of the math centers and didn't do ANY of the community helper activities I had planned.  But I'm already off on the right track with repeating it this week and will be successful!

Here are the plans:

Hope your week is off to a good start.  I just have 4 more days till Spring Break! YES!  Happy Teaching!

Peek at my Week- Leprechauns and Community Helpers

Happy Sunday friends!  It's lesson planning day!  I'm linking up with Deedee from Mrs. Will's Kindergarten for a Peek at my Week.

I know Leprechauns and Community Helpers is a weird mix BUT that's just how it worked out this year...  We will be learning about jobs and why we need them this week and what helpers actually do.

We will also be visited by Lucky the Leprechaun who caused all sorts of mischief in our room last year!  I wonder what he has in store for us this year... ;-)

I have a professional day on Wednesday to test the new kindergarteners that come in to register.  We started assessing them last year.  Those who do not meet out chosen benchmarks receive a bag with all sorts of activities for parents to work on with their child to help them be ready for kindergarten!  Last year I only tested 1 the whole day... so here's to hoping more people come to register on Wednesday!  Has your kindergarten registration started yet??

Here are the plans:

Hope you have a great week!  I heard a rumor that it could get up to 70 here tomorrow- WHAT?! YES!!  Happy Teaching!

Peek at my Week- Oh, snow days...

Happy Monday friends!  We had a Professional Development day today which allowed me to write my visual lesson plans :-) So I'm linking up with Deedee from Mrs. Will's Kindergarten for a Peek at my Week!  (wait a minute! Did she not plans plans either?? ;-) ).
So last week we ended up with 2 snow days on top of 1 delayed opening, SO needless to say we were behind!  This week we will continue with fractions and rhyming.  Unfortunately we missed the last two days of our Dr. Seuss celebrations :-(  But the good news is that I am extending our Table Olympics! YAY!  We've been having a blast with our competitions.  Here are a few pics for your enjoyment:
They had to stack 12 blocks in a tower (harder than you would think)-
They had to unlink 30 links-
They had to write the ABCs in order passing the page after writing 1 letter-

SO FUN!

And this week we FINALLY get OUTDOOR RECESS!!!  The weather should be good and even if we have to stay on the blacktop we will be outside so it will be great!

Here are the plans:

Hope your week is off to a great start.  Happy Teaching!

Peek at my Week- Seuss, Seuss, Seuss!

Happy Sunday friends!  I'm linking up with Deedee from Mrs. Will's Kindergarten for a Peek a my Week!
This week is Seuss everything!  We are going to have Seuss coming out of our noses!  We are also focusing on rhyming for the next 2 weeks.  Our daily group phonics lessons will focus on rhyming all week and hopefully they will be masters by the end of the 2 weeks!

We are also covering fractions this week, which isn't quite as fun as Seuss, but we get to do fraction pizzas at least (made out of paper of course...).

And tomorrow we are finally baking our cake!  We were supposed to do it last week but things got very busy and then a snow day happened but we will finally follow steps to bake our cake and then do a little How To writing about it.  I LOVE how to writing (nerd alert!) and most of the kids get really good at it.  I always have a couple though that don't get the concept of telling the steps in order- maybe this is the year! *fingers crossed*

Here are the plans:

Hope everyone out there has a Seusstastic week!  Happy teaching!
