Happy Friday everyone! I'm linking up with Doodle Bugs Teaching for Five for Friday!
I started my week with a snow day (in March, really?!) and then on Tuesday I had jury duty... Ugh. While I did get reading done for my grad classes, I did not enjoy sitting around so much. I was actually dismissed though! So that was nice!
This week we were learning about ordinal numbers. We played a cup game where I hid a small yellow block under one of the cups and they would have to guess a cup by using the ordinal number: "Is it under the 4th cup?" They LOVED it! So we played it this afternoon and if you found the block you won a prize. So easy to please. BUT this afternoon's cups did not have labels- ooooo, tricky!
(please don't judge the messy table, I was folding and stapling LOTS of reading a-z books today...)
We also jumped into our How To writing unit. It's a 4 week plan. First week is all oral, so in these pics we are putting the steps for How To Make Lemonade in order and then retelling each other, making sure to use our vocabulary- First, Next, Then, Last.
Next week we will focus on drawing pictures to match the words that are provided. Then they will write words to match pictures. And finally, they will write their own How To stories. I LOVED this unit last year and I am still loving it this year!
This is our new table in our apartment!! Great price for a great table on craigslist!
We picked it up last night and then I made dinner. When it was time to eat I got out the tv trays without even thinking about the fact that we have a table! HAHA! We've been eating off of tv trays for 5 years! Gonna have to break that habit.
3 weeks until Spring Break... YUP- I said 3!!
Enjoy your weekend!! And jump back over to Doodle Bugs Teaching for more Five for Friday fun!

The ordinal number cup game looks fun. And, your table is pretty. We are trying to use ours more. It tends to collect things like mail and toys.
