Summer is 12 school days away my friends and I am desperate to get out!!! Last year I didn't want my kiddos to go, but this year (despite being a great class!) I am feeling DONE! So, in anticipation, I am linking up with Deanna Jump from Mrs. Jump's Class (as if you don't know her...) to share:
1. FINISH GRAD SCHOOL!! I am so excited to be done with grad school at 3:30 on July 25! I'm sick of reading and doing homework along with a full time job ;-)
2. Create for TPT. I haven't created anything in months! I've been so busy with other stuff. But I will start again (maybe after July 25???)
3. Read! I am in a book club with some friends and we have been enjoying reading all sorts of books! Can't wait to see what summer reading has in store for me. I think I will turn to my favorite college professor, Dr. Baer, for a good list! She is the best!
4. Teach this girl to sit. She is great at walking together, but now it's on to the big time stuff, HA!
5. Golf with the hubs!! And whoever else wants to join of course.
6. RELAX at home
7. RELAX on Lake Michigan (a very short visit)
8. Did I mention RELAX???
9. Hang out with some VERY good friends while I am back in Michigan for the few days I'm there.
10. This is the big one!!!!! Celebrate our 5 year anniversary (and me graduating grad school) by going to Positano, Italy:
and Venice:
I CAN'T WAIT!!!
Only 11 more days of school and I am free!!! I would love to hear your summer plans! Head back over to Mrs. Jump's Class to link up :-)

A Peek at my Week- What a Character!
What?! I'm actually writing a blog post!! I feel like it has been forever friends! This dog just makes me want to do nothing else! (also grad school AND writing the ELL Summer School Math curriculum...) I can't believe I actually got my lesson plans done! Last week I was feeling like this:
The worst part was that it was my birthday week... Not my best birthday week...
But this week I'm feeling like this:
I'm excited for our new writing unit- showing characters' feelings AND adding in speech bubbles! So fun and can't wait to share what the kids come up with!
Here are the plans:
Hope your week started off well! Happy Teaching!

Five for Friday- Whoops! It's Saturday!
Happy weekend everyone! So I never pull my computer out at home right after work anymore because of our sweet dog and I was asleep on the couch at like 8pm last night SO it's a Saturday post. Linking up with Doodle Bugs Teaching for my Five for Friday!
We've been learning about the butterfly life cycle and of course reading The Very Hungry Caterpillar. Our fearless team leader and artist extraordinaire put up this bulletin board- IT'S SO CUTE!!!
I'm sure I didn't need ALL the pictures- but how fun is it?!?!
We went on a field trip this week and had a BLAST! Got to touch lots of things- hissing cockroach, turtle, snake, and animal pelts. Saw peacocks with their feathers up and open!! And saw some owls and hawks. Lots to do, including the amazing playground after our lunch!
This week we were reviewing measurement, so went outside and did some measuring!
I completely forgot to start our Mother's Day poems until Friday, but they turned out soooo cute!! My kids have been doing a great job of writing descriptive poems using adjectives, and these were a perfect way to top it all off!
This is the reason I don't pull out my computer much anymore- too busy walking Allie! It's a great place to walk though! But I'm hungry ALL the time from all the walking.
I hope your weekend is already off to a great start!! I'm off for another walk, before the rain comes. Enjoy your time! Jump back over to Doodle Bugs Teaching for more Five for Friday fun!
